"Had a terrific dinner at Duval's. Grilled fish (halibut) was amazing - I asked for the sauce on the side with double vegetables instead of rice and vegetables. Appetizers were great - esp the eggplant rolotini. Price was just right. We sat outside. The table next to us got the fish & chips and sesame tuna and both looked terrific also."

"What a beautiful restaurant located in downtown Sarasota. I stopped in for the blackened fish tacos which were absolutely amazing! But I will say that when it comes down to it, the service was the star of the show during my visit. Farris served me with attentiveness, enthusiasm, professionalism, and politeness! I will definitely be returning and I suggest that if you dine here, request Farris who will surely make your experience a great one."

"This trip to Duvals was for a celebration of life. We had their free shuttle pick up our group of 8 at Lido Beach Resort, and transported us to Duvals (and back after dinner). We had attentive service from Anatoli. The entire meal was great, I had the Sesame Tuna, it was fresh and tasted good, it could've used a little more of its delicious sauce but otherwise very good. A family member of mine got the steak, for being a seafood restaurant, I did not expect a good steak in a delicious darker sauce, surprised me. Another family member of mine had the blackened tripletail fish, I don't tend to like cooked fish, but it had a wonderful crusting on it, also a decent surprise. To finish off the meal, the flourless chocolate cake was warm and tasted quite good, I am not usually one to like flourless chocolate cakes, but this one was on point. I'd highly recommend trying this place out if you're in Sarasota."

"We were new to the town so we didn’t know which restaurant to go with the seafood, so we picked from the suggested nearby list from Google map, and it turned out to an amazing dinner. Food: the kids loved the calamari starter as well as shrimp pasta. We had a Duval’s seafood sampler and an ocean scampi. The seafood was fresh and delicious. We couldn’t finish all the food within the night, and the to-go was still fresh and delicious the next day. Service: the hosts were nice, we asked a question that wasn’t related to the restaurant and food, but they were willing to answer. The server was friendly and fun. Atmosphere: my kids thought the decoration on the ceiling looked like the scene in “Avatar: The Way of Water” movie. They also had a great collection of wine. Bottom line: we had a great experience at the restaurant. We will definitely come back."
