The Port Steak & Seafood

"I do so want this restaurant to be amazing because the views are beautiful but sadly it is not. Today was my 3rd and last time eating here. I normally go for the view because the food has never been that great . Today however there were 4 hairs. It was the strangest thing. First my son found a hair in his grouper sandwich, next I found a hair in my seafood combo plate and we found two very long hairs on the take away boxes. I said to my son, "Are we on candid camera"? It was the weirdest thing. I looked into the kitchen and it also looked awful. I will not go back."

"Fantastic place to go by boat but just be patient - we arrived on a Sunday morning and the server was alone without cooking oil. Everyone is so nice just do not plan to move quick - views Are gorgeous"

"My husband and I came here for dinner now our waitress Kay was absolutely amazing and very welcoming and very accommodating. The atmosphere is really cute very old Timey very mom and pop which is something that myself and my husband absolutely love or look for small town restaurants. The service is great atmosphere is great the alcohol that I got was delicious which I would recommend I got the water moccasin it was sweet and tangy. The appetizer Counch fritters are actually decent and well seasoned. The reason why I’m not giving this a five star is because our main course of catfish and crab cakes sandwich was very under seasoned and very bland. It was cooked correctly just missing a lot of the spices I’m normally looking for in those types of foods. But overall a great experience I would love to try it again soon:"

"Our server Lauren was great. We had the calamari appetizer which was perfectly cooked (they didn't have the gator tail we originally wanted) the coconut shrimp was very good, large shrimp perfectly cooked. ( I wanted the fried clams but they didn't have them)The dipping sauce for the shrimp was apparently marmalade and could use some attention. The fried shrimp was good and the buffalo wings were large and the blue cheese dressing was tasty. The fries appeared to have been reheated from lunch (dry and gross) we also had a side of fried oysters that were so overcooked as to be unedible. We sent them back and weren't charged. The coleslaw and hush puppies were delicious and so was the tarter sauce. The view of the lake was great! Overall a good experience and we would go back."
