"A great local, old school place off the beaten path. We arrived shortly after opening (5:15) on a Friday night and the parking lot, bar and restaurant were packed. Luckily we were seated immediately outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our server Susan was fabulous and right on top of things. I had the blackened Mahi, Cheesy Grits & Cole Slaw. The fish was fresh, cooked just right and served hot. The draft Beer was cold and fresh! Do yourself a favor and stop in!"

"Our first time here and we will be back often! Food was fresh. Sushi was beautiful and delicious! Scallops melt in your mouth! The staff were friendly and attentive. A bit of a wait, but Friday night prime time we expected it. Well worth the wait! I am so happy we tried it. Thank you Clam House!"

"First visit back since new owners, only because it's a bit of a drive. We like to sit at the bar to eat and was waited on very attentively by William. Decor looks the same as a few years ago but is clean and fresh. Menu also the same and still DELICIOUS! Priced very reasonable for large portions. Steamed clams were fresh and tender. Fried haddock and clam strips were crispy with the best breading I've ever had. Of course, I had to have the cucumber salad, uniquely refreshing. I don't know why we waited so long to get back, but we will be back soon."

"I was visiting my sister and saw this place and had to try it!! I'm so glad because this was the best meal that we had during our trip to Palmetto!! This is a local gem that is not to be missed!!! The food is super fresh, the service is super friendly and if you ask for anything that you need it is never a problem!!! The atmosphere is down to earth and a come as you are kind of place! Sit at the bar and make some friends! You can watch the underwater sea life video on the large TV for a beachside feel!!"

"Visited the Clam House for the first time to try something new in the area. It’s a bit of a tucked away place off any main streets, but it seems pretty well known by the locals. The place itself is cute with a lot of beachy decor. The outside seating was also nice, with a covered patio and fans blowing for a breeze. Our waitress was also friendly and attentive. In terms of food, we ordered a sushi roll as an appetizer and it was fresh and delicious. We also ordered coconut shrimp, scallops and hush puppies. The shrimp was fried crispy and flavorful, while the scallops were grilled nicely. Hush puppies were decent. Portion sizes were fair, but not overly generous. Our only gripe (reason for 4 stars) was a hair that we found in the tartar sauce - pretty unappealing. Other than that, this was a good place for dinner and we’re glad we tried it out."
