"We decided to book this restaurant for Valentine's Day after reading reviews, but our experience fell short of expectations. While the food was good, the service was incredibly slow. It took an hour to get our appetizer and an hour and a half for our main course to arrive. Not something you would expect when paying over $200 a person. It’s not a bad spot, but there are definitely things they could improve on."

"We have frequented Anna Maria Island for many years, and have dined all over it, Vancouver, NC and Scottsdale, AZ and are well acquainted with fine dining, expensive dining, and island dining. Given the setting, history and prices of The Chateau we had high expectations that fell short. The waitress was great, the rest of the service was average. Food flavor was below average for the price, portions were not large, and presentation was merely average. Hands down The Porch and Waterfront are superior value, food and service. The seafood tower was fine great, the butter to dip seafood was cold and the crab was super salty. The Caesar salad was not as good as basic homemade, the duck was shredded and overcooked in the pasta which was not worth the $48. Mussels tasted old, while the broth and bread somehow managed to taste like smelly arm pit ....not joke we all said it. Steak was barely better than average steak, the red snapper was simple and acceptable, only the seabass was what I'd consider excellent. It was fine to be sure, but was not worth near the $525 tab."

"Dinner and drinks at the Chateau were unbelievable! Started the evening with a dirty martini and fresh pear martini and then had a delicious dinner followed by the best chocolate cake. Our server, Mary, was wonderful and gave us excellent service! It was our first time here and definitely won’t be the last. Highly recommend!"

"We went tonight for a cocktail for our ladies night out and sat at their bar. The barman was very helpful and organized our chairs so we could all fit in. Our drinks where really good and well made. If your looking for a nice night out, a bit more fancy than the normal Island places this is worth going to."

"Wow. Cuisine, ambiance and service was top notch. This is a hidden gem. We kicked off with the seafood tower, which had a nice combination of oysters, crab legs, shrimp, and Ahi tuna. The Duck Confit Fettuccine was absolutely mouthwatering. The Chefs Cut Rib Eye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Blackened Grouper was incredible. We also ordered the homemade donuts and key lime pie for dessert. Price point is a little on the higher end, but well worth it for the quality of food, service and ambience."
