"While the Abuelo's Dip Sampler was alright (chicharron with 3 kinds of dips), I was not impressed on their take of quesadillas. The cheese was overwhelming- and it was way more than the actual meat. It made it really salty. The rice on the side was salty too and the quesadillas made it worse. I prefer seeing the tortillas than it being drowned with cheese. And of course, the meat is the most important thing. Even that I did not like the way they made it. The server was friendly and the restaurant was clean and modern. If you're looking for a different take on Mexican cuisine, you can probably try this restaurant. Just set your expectations as it's on the pricey side and to be honest, it's not really that authentic. There's other Mexican restaurants out there- take El Tenampa as an example- if you want a delicious Mexican food and yet on the cheaper side, this place is definitely a must-try. Also, it was quite weird not seeing an Horchata at a Mexican restaurant. They should add it to the menu."
