"Great service, bland black beans with jasmine rice, good street taco, table had a huge hole in the plastic coating that stuck up on the table top, house-made chips with maybe lard in the frying oil, salsa made with fresh oregano and red onion, great broth to the chicken soup. Tepid cafe con leche, but it was delicious. Kudos to my server, Juan Andres, he kept a professional and pleasant demeanor throughout the meal. The vibe is festive on the outside, even when it’s not lit up for the holidays. Today they had a Christmas tree near the entrance. This restaurant was recommended to me by two locals, one of whom hails from Mexico and she also lived in Miami-Dade so I took her seriously when she said she prefers Los Cabos for Mexican food. But my Cuban friends would say the black beans needed more onions, more garlic, more oregano, more green pepper and where was the topping of olive oil and vinegar lol. Still the black beans were salty enough and you could tell they were fresh not out of a can. The chicken soup had a long-simmered broth that was delicious and I couldn’t pick apart the seasonings, just that it was comfort food. White and dark meat chicken with well-cooked mixed veggies added oomph to the dish. I felt it gave me health."

"Really good food, flavorful and great prices. Good service, felt they were not happy to have us. The chips and salsa were my favorite. Asked for more and our server just gave me a look... I think he was having a bad time, there was another lady that was really nice to us. The chicken salad had a lot, a lot of chicken! The lunch menu has good portions and affordable pricing."
