Reviews
"I’m only giving 4 start because I normally order food there and it’s always good but today the oxtail was not good at all, no flavor and plus they only gave us the tips of the oxtails and they were very hard to eat. At least give a discount when you run out of meat we paid $60 hard earn dollars for two large oxtails and we couldn’t eat it. Whoever cooked the food today was not in the mood, sauce was watery and flavorless. Keep in mind your customers are the ones keeping your business running."
"We drove 40 minutes to this location because it was recommended. My husband wanted and ordered the curry goat with beans/rice, corn and he got a dessert. I wanted the large oxtail dinner with beans/rice and cabbage. Both orders to go. The service was good, fast and pleasant. I have no complaints about the food or the service. Very busy place, indeed as cars were coming and going for pickups. Looking for somewhere closer to where we are staying for our next Jamaican meal, but we pleased with what we ordered."
"I once again had the opportunity to sample the culinary delights at Flavors of Jamaica, and I must say that the flavors truly lived up to the restaurant's name. The food itself was a symphony of fantastic tastes that transported me to the heart of Jamaica. However, my experience was marred by a few unfortunate hiccups that I can't overlook. To begin, my journey started with a phone call to place my order. After enduring 7 rings, a friendly lady answered and requested my patience as she placed me on hold. After 3 minutes, the call abruptly disconnected, leaving me questioning if I should move on. But my oxtail craving got the better of me, so I turned to DoorDash for the solution. Placing an online order seemed straightforward enough, and an email promptly informed me of the designated pickup time. Arriving at the restaurant, I found parking scarce and a line forming, indicating a busy and popular spot. Joining the queue, I eventually inquired with a staff member about my online order, only to be directed to switch lines – a baffling request that led to some humorous confusion and raised eyebrows. Finally reaching the register after a 10-minute wait, I pointed out my order, visible from the counter, while holding up my DoorDash receipt as instructed. Strangely, the staff member opted to serve another another customer from the previous line I was in, a decision that left me perplexed. Thankfully, the customer declined bad told the staff member to wait on me since I was next in line. The situation became even more puzzling when it seemed that my order was in question, despite my evidence. It took a bit of insistence and the presentation of my receipt for things to finally fall into place. The food, however, was handed over in a stapled brown paper bag that appeared close to bursting, raising concerns about the care in handling orders. Upon arriving home, the delightful anticipation quickly faded as I discovered that macaroni was absent from not one, but two of the meals. It was a disheartening realization after an already challenging experience. As much as I relished the flavors of Jamaica, the inconveniences, misunderstandings, and missing items left a lasting impression. Regrettably, these setbacks overshadowed the exceptional food. Considering the overall experience, I'm never revisiting Flavors of Jamaica."
"The curry goat tasted just ok. It tasted like something was missing, the chicken was really good. Service was quick and friendly."
"I went here for some oxtails. They had a line when I got there, but they moved it pretty quickly. The service was pretty good as well and everything looked clean. However, the food was a 2/10. The rice had absolutely no salt, not even a pinch. The oxtails were bland and lacked flavor. The curry chicken was eh…"
