"Completely blown away by service and clean cuisine! It is so incredibly difficult to find quality French food, especially when you are picky in wanting to taste the actual flavor of the food that is not overly seasoned or processed like so many restaurants. The owner came out twice thanking us for dining with them, and our waitress was attentive and well versed in the menu. I highly recommend getting the Salmon Breakfast, Cottage Pie, Tomato Veggie Soup, and Bread Pudding. If you are as picky as I am about food, I can guarantee you will be so happy you went to The Bistro!"

"What a lovely experience visiting the Bistro in Mount Dora. It’s the warm and welcoming eatery a quaint and charming town like this deserves. For an out-of-towner like me, though, it meant me and my party (of 12 people) were immediately welcomed by the most charming chef/owner and made to feel extra special the entire evening by the staff, especially our server, Deborah. The wines were surprisingly well priced and the entire menu is a beautifully balanced selection of approachable French classics. "Four months ago, during our search for the perfect rehearsal dinner venue in Mount Dora, we stumbled upon the Mount Dora Bistro, and it turned out to be an absolute revelation. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enchanted by the restaurant's charming and beautiful interior, and nothing else in the area comes close to this gem. What truly made this dining experience exceptional was the personal touch of the owner and chef, John. He went out of his way to make every table feel genuinely special and welcomed. John took the time to personally talk to us throughout our dining experience, adding a sense of warmth and authenticity to the entire experience. As we explored the culinary offerings, we were treated to a delightful array of dishes, each presented as a work of art. The owner's generosity extended to allowing us to sample various menu items, guiding us to make the best choices for our special pre-wedding night. Every dish we tasted was a revelation, from the fresh baked baguettes and the escargot to the cod and pork and the heavenly chocolate mousse. And let's not forget the rare find of Veuve DuBarry Brut NV, a French champagne that I instantly fell in love with. The owner even went the extra mile to give us a few bottles, typically available only through a French vendor. The Mount Dora Bistro is more than just a restaurant; it's an experience. The personal connection and warmth extended by the owner and chef, combined with the exceptional food and ambiance, make it a place you simply can't afford to miss when you're in the area.
