"We had a great experience at this Sonny’s Barbecue. The bartender was very friendly and helpful with what to order. The specials (on the table top cards, not on the menu) were definitely the way to go. We both had a pulled pork sandwich and side, which was a good amount of delicious barbecue. They have quite a selection of sauces. Overall, we were very pleased with the experience and will stop there again."

"Stopped today on our way south, about another 2.5 hours to go. Have not had Sonny’s for over a year (ours closed near us in port Charlotte, boo), still awesome bbq. My wife and I enjoyed a great lunch break with the $10 special ( ribs, pulled or sliced pork plus 2 sides and cornbread). Great meal for $10!! Sides we had were tater tots, baked beans, coleslaw and dirty rice, all were very good. The meals arrived quickly and our waitress was efficient offering to go cups and or refills. Hard to drink a refill as the drinks are huge! Upon leaving we were met again by the hostess who held the door for us and said have a great day! Big shout out to your hostess today. My wife got to talking with her saying we missed the potato salad, too bad it was gone. Well it wasn’t, we just missed it. She ran inside and brought out a little side dish of potato salad to go!!! What a nice thing to do and wished my wife happy Mother’s Day! What a way to treat your customers. We will stop now at this restaurant every time we drive by (and they are open). Can’t say enough about the fantastic service, made my wife’s day. Thank you Just stopped again today 1/2/24. Same as always, everything was great. Tried a burger today, one of the best I’ve eaten. Of course the potato salad was awesome as well as the service. Until our next stop.. loved the place, thanks"

"Although this is a chain restaurant, all the ones I've been to have their own individual flair. This location was clean, friendly, easily accessible with plenty of parking. The inside was spacious and the staff while I was there certainly were pleasant and professional. The food was the high quality and standards that Sony's barbecue usually provides as I would certainly recommend."
