Mango Elementary School

"If I literally could give this school absolutely no stars I most certainly would. The school itself does not seem to have any control within their classrooms. A few years back they were on a PIP (performance improvement plan) due to their inability to be hyper vigilant with the education provided to the kids. Low scoring test scores; in that instance then I knew I should have pulled my kids out of the school but I stay with Mango anyway bc of convenience but enough is enough. I get a phone call EVERY SINGLE day about what my child is doing that could easily be controlled in the classroom. It is exhausting when as a parent you are disciplining your child, giving them talks in the morning and the ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL has the nerve to say we need to partner with them at home. MA’AM WE ARE DOING THAT. What we want to do is be able to observe him in the classroom bc we obviously are not dealing with the same child. Then his school records have the wrong number bc they have another child with the same first and last name at the school. They are disorganized, lazy, and not being accountable for their own classroom. It is my hope that the board of education reads this review and any parent who is thinking about taking their child to this school reconsider bc all kids are not treated fairly and they do single children out"

"I wish it was zero stars .My son attends the school for three days and didn’t want to except him because he was crying didn’t even give him a chance to attend the school to get used to it he is only 3 1/2 years old He’s He’s going to cry Don’t matter what until he gets used to the school anyway. The teacher and the principal They are rude they don’t even welcome you to school every morning they stay with the mad face all the time They don’t even give you a chance to ask how was your child is doing in that day."

"Have no complaints about this school so far, my daughter loves it here, explains how she gets to have responsibilities and how the teachers help her. She loves the way teachers teach and look for options to make class fun. She almost failed last year, and her teacher came to me and explained what was going on, glad she did and as of today she is reading more and better, summer school also helped a lot. I am glad overall, the school staff is great. I'm happy there's always a helping hand when you need it."

"This is the worst school I've ever been to. Dont wanna be rude but ms.Alvarez a fourth grade teacher,is the WORST I had her and she lowerd my confidence She was rude and spreading rumors about me likeing someone which btw was not true.Hope your child gets another teacher."

"This school will fail your child! My son was honor roll according to his award's, in the middle of the year!! Then they failed him!! This is the third child they held back of mine, for "reading" and did not tell me about it until they failed them!!! Worst part is I have one more going in next year! I wish I was told he was struggling, not being told he was doing great and no conferences we're needed, just for them to be faied. And left behind.."
