About the Business

Sam's Beach Bar

Located at 6325 Clark Street in Hudson, Florida, Sam's Beach Bar is a popular food institution known for its fresh, locally-sourced seafood and stunning sunset views over the Gulf. From lobster rolls to oysters on the half shell, our menu offers a wide variety of delicious dishes prepared with care. Our daily selection of fresh fish, caught by local fishermen, ensures that every bite is bursting with flavor.

Situated at the water's edge, Sam's Hudson Beach Bar provides outdoor seating with a front row seat to the breathtaking Gulf Coast sunsets. As the sky transforms into vibrant shades of orange, pink, and purple, guests can enjoy a relaxing evening with friends or a romantic date. The beauty of the setting sun creates a picture-perfect backdrop for sipping on cocktails and savoring seafood dinners.

Originally purchased by the Marisi family in 1981, Sam's Hudson Beach Snack Bar has become a beloved waterfront restaurant thanks to Eddie Marisi's dream of owning a restaurant by the sea. Grace Marisi stumbled upon the igloo-like building selling hot dogs, hamburgers, and snacks on Hudson Beach and decided to make it their own. Leaving Long Island, NY behind, the Marisi family embarked on a new journey to bring Eddie's dream to life at Sam's Beach Bar.

"I like Sam’s and tonight wasn’t typical, but it was very disappointing. Waited a long time to get our drinks and even longer to get 2 out of our five meals. The two meals that arrived in a less-than-timely manner, were warm, not hot. Probably waited close to an hour to get the three remaining, barely warm meals and just had them boxed up because we had to get going. They weren’t even very busy; there were several empty tables. The waitress was very nice but inattentive. Never refilled our drinks and was apparently clueless that we didn’t have all our food. They discounted the cost for the error but the most disappointing thing was the frisbee. My grandson couldn’t wait to get a frisbee but when we got home it was completely smudged."

"Bill was a very attentive server. My burger was cooked medium rare when I requested medium well, and he fixed it immediately and gave me a cup of lobster bisque while I waited. The food is tasty. We usually dine outside with an ocean view but too chilly tonight. It's a good outdoor bar type of venue. Very casual."

"Met friends here for a late lunch. Despite it being cold & windy weather, they had heaters & dropped their sides down. We had a great lunch here & prices were reasonable. I had the Cuban sandwich & my husband had pizza. Our other friends got a Cuban also & a Salad that was huge. Very nice atmosphere right on the beach. Too bad the weather did not cooperate. Thank you Jadyn V. for great service!"

"We have been going to Sam's for quite a while but I never got to writing a review so, here it goes. First things first, whoever came up with serving apple butter jelly with the sweet potato waffle fries needs a freaking promotion AND a raise. You have GOT to try this magical, amazing, addicting, mouthwatering combo. Sam's can be pretty difficult getting into depending on the day/weather/season. If you get in, this is one of the best Gulf views you will get with a waterfront restaurant. The food is consistently on the good side. The service can vary depending on how busy they get. They have removed some items from the menu that we liked (shrimp po-boy, banana splits, etc. Boooo on you) however, there are several other great choices. Their seafood buckets are always a hit, fish & chips, and their Sam's 1/2 Signature blend burger has to be one of the best burgers I have ever had. We visit Sam's a lot and we will continue to visit Sam's a lot more now that we live much closer. Just remember to be patient, grab yourself a drink, enjoy the view and everything will be alright."

"Great place for a bite to eat with friends or family in a relaxed atmosphere our server Dean was great, h was attentive, friendly, and engaging. He was willing to help adjust our tables/umbrellas due to the sun being in our faces. All around relaxing place to share a meal with friends/family. Will be visiting again during our trips out to the gulf side."
