"Old Florida style restaurant with a lake view. Felt like family my first visit. Definitely feel the connection to the community when you walk in. The food was very good! It’s a bit of a drive if you’re staying in the main part of Crystal River, but it’s worth it!"
"The BEST food we’ve eaten in Florida in 2 years! Michael the server with the baritone voice suggested our foods since the menu was loaded with tasty options and I loved my shrimp tacos with mango sauce (and the best loaded baked potatoes) and my hubby had the grouper Reuben (with cabbage not coleslaw) with amazing onion rings) We’re coming back here again before we head home!!"
"First visit today, vert impressed! Food delicious, service was very, very good. Great water view! Definitely recommend. Had onion rings in light batter and they were crunchy, nit drenched in oil. Coconut shrimp served in half a grilled pineapple with white rice and a mango pineapple salsa. DOUBLE YUM! Steamed broccoli was perfect and coleslaw was fresh and tasty. TWO THUMBS UP"
"Took a ride from St. Pete's to meet some friends in Homasassa. We decided to try Backwater Fins....a first for us. We were very pleased with everything about our visit. They have a deck for seating, plus indoor tables. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and skilled. She offered a few suggestions that proved to be spot on. The food was cooked to perfection and delicious! We were so happy we chose Backwater Fins!"
"Stopped into support a local business after being hit by Hurricane idalia. Service was good and fast. They are on a limited menu at this time. Had never been to this restaurant before. They are located directly on the water with great views. Our server was extremely attentive and went over and above to make sure we were happy with our meal and everything was good."
