Moe's Original BBQ - Destin

"Good but expensive like everything in Destin. I always love the chicken sandwich Bama style. Wish I could eat it more. Recommend locals discounts PLZ. Was about $15 per sandwich plate."

"I had to evacuate because of the hurricane and thus had an impromptu stay in Destin. This was the restaurant I decided to try while I was there. The food was great. I had a pulled pork sandwich, Brunswick stew, and baked beans. The baked beans and the pulled pork sandwich were my favorite of the three dishes, though I bet people who love Brunswick stew would love what's offered at Moe's. The only problem with this restaurant is it's difficult to choose what to eat since there's so many good options. But that's not a bad problem to have. I was told that all of the food, including the tea and desserts, are homemade. The prices weren't bad at all. You order at a window on the outside of the building, and there was seating inside. The seating was sort of an open area, so you could feel like you were outside or inside depending on where you sat. Despite having that outside feel, I never had any problem with flies. There was only one type of barbecue sauce. I liked it because it was a sweet, mild sauce. But they do offer hot sauce, which you could probably mix with the barbecue sauce if you wanted to. I also liked how there was a paper towel roll at every table since the barbecue sauce did make me need a lot of paper towels. The service was great. I talked to one of the people working there after eating and we had such a great conversation. My food was also done almost immediately because I took a few minutes to choose what to order. I'm glad I decided to try Moe's for my only trip to Destin."

"The best BBQ joint! We fell in love with their other place in Panama city Beach as well. Always good food served fresh and super friendly service. Worth the 1+ hour drive to get here !"

"This was the perfect post beach food. Ordering was fast and easy and there was plenty of seating. Now to discuss the food, the smoked chicken was EVERYTHING, so much flavor and so juicy. The Mac and cheese was delicious and the squash casserole was mind blowing. The homemade tarter sauce for the fried shrimp was so damn good, you could eat it by itself. We finished our meal with desserts and the whipped banana pudding was divine. This is a new must visit anytime I’m in destin!"

"Service was really good and there is a large selection of mains and sides. The pulled pork and brisket are excellent. Also recommended the broccoli salad (absolutely fantastic), the slaw (has a little zing to it), and the mashed potato casserole (yum, cheese). The ribs are just okay. Not a fan of the Mac and Cheese at all. Seems to be almost plain macaroni noodles with a layer of cheese baked on top rather than creamy goodness all the way through."
