"The first time eating here, it started out pretty good with warm chips and good salsa. The waiter took my order and that was the last time I saw him. They brought my plate to the table and didn't even ask if I needed anything else. My plate was all one dish, no division between the food, a soupy mess. I had to ask another waiter for my check two separate times. I was over charged for the meal. The ticket was for $20, and my meal (with water) should have been $12-$14 at the most. There is a really good chance that I will NOT return."

"I believe I've rated El Mexicano before and rated them 5 stars for their Food, Service and Atmosphere. However yesterday was a complete turnaround from 5 to a 3 in the food category. It should have been a (2.5) rating. To be fair I should let you know it was near 3:PM when we arrived. And I'm sure the cook's were very tired or there was a shift change taking place while they were preparing our 2 beef burritos lunch special. It was in my humble opinion not cooked/seasoned right. Very bland and undercooked. I'll keep going back because everyone deserves to be off sometime. Love you El Mexicano."

"It was okay. The staff was not as engaging and friendly as most Mexican restaurants and the margaritas are high. Also, you pay $3 more to mix flavors which is very expensive compared to other Mexican restaurants."

"Very disappointing experience. Stale chips, old salsa, flavorless food, and poor service. I've had a lot of bad Mexican food in this area but this one set the bar even lower. No drink refills and was completely ignored the whole time. The fact that people have left reviews saying this is the best Mexican in Baldwin County is so sad. Please someone open a decent Mexican restaurant with flavor around here. Pictured is the worst tamale ever with what tasted like spaghetti sauce on top."
