"I gave 3* only because of how this chain treats Betta fish. With all the different options for tanks with separate quarters, truly a better way is available. It has to be. STOP THE BETTA ABUSE"

"My son visited pet smart this week and was hoping to adopt a cat. He completed the application and basically they told him tonite that most of their cats , including this ADULT male cat will be lonely for 8 hours a day while he works. Is this for real? Since when is having a job a disqualify item ? The ultimatum is to adopt two, however he only wants one right now so that he can make sure he can afford all the correct vet care and supplies. It’s a disservice to have adult cats that are more than likely not as adoptable as kittens sitting in a shelter because you do not want to adopt to someone who works . No wonder people end up just buying pets. I will no longer support this charity based on this experience."

"Found most of the things we wanted, but have a better supply of dog and cat items than avian. It worked out fine for us this time. The staff were very personable and we talked pleasantly with several other shoppers, some with pets. I would recommend going here if you want a wide variety of general pet needs. They were also advertising several services at a discounted price for the holidays that may be worth checking out to some."
