"My experience with this place was terrible. I tried booking several times online a spot for my daughters hair. My card would not book for a penny. I have thousands of dollars on that card so I don’t know What the issue was. I called the facility to troubleshoot. The young female receptionist barely helped me. I then just had my child’s father book it. I called several times to just get a simple confirmation and one told me she would look at the schedule and confirm that same day which was days prior to the appointment. I didn’t hear a thing. I called a few more times and decided to leave a message saying how unprofessional I felt this customer service was just to confirm a appointment. Mind you. My child’s father was coming into town to surprise my daughter and I really needed her hair done. I finally got a response after calling the facility unprofessional and Mink herself sent her minion receptionist to tell me she was canceling my appointment because she didn’t feel “comfortable” Also they lost the work phone and could not respond to my many calls prior to her canceling. So how is that someone’s fault ? I called to reason my frustrations and was calm and didn’t get rowdy and they still canceled my appointment and EVEN stated it was not my fault they lost their phone but she didn’t want to service me anymore. So not only did she put me in a situation to find a new stylist I already gave my deposit. The refund was supposed to have been submitted a Friday. It was never initiated till the next Friday. Very unprofessional. Ghetto. IG popular black businesses need to do better. This is why we have so much trouble supporting black business. Y’all suck at customer service. PERIOD."

"As a touring musician, you get used to running around and things being hectic. You yearn for a relaxed environment, without any excess drama where none is required. I had the most delightful time here with KC the stylist. I would choose him for sure if you’re looking for a specific recommendation. I’ve done a shoot with Vogue and a feature in Essence recently and I would feel confident having KC from Mink Little on my team any day! He is personable and professional and has a very apparent heart of gold which to me and my piers is more valuable than any other superficial quality that gets many other stylists ahead. It speaks to the quality of the management that they had the foresight to have someone like this with his own room there, pride of place. To put personalities like his to the fore is a great business model. I will definitely book again and again- take my money!! The space itself is great! Contemporary, well equipped, and wonderfully secluded from view so the more shy types can get their hair done in some privacy. All in all an utter joy! I can’t speak to anyone else there as you know each stylist is their own person but I can speak only well of the beautiful space of Mink Little and the talent of KC."
