"Tate's Tavern is a solace from the world to me. The owners, Mike and Tim, are both amicable, conversant, and they remember you. The latter is tantamount to me. I don't want to have to repeat my usual each time I enter a place. The environment is calm. Mike and Tim have a simple philosophy: No. Second. Chances. If you enter and become belligerent, don't expect to ever enter again. Do visit. I highly recommend it. Update 12/23: I'm moving in the next few months, and I honestly will be saddened leaving this quaint place behind. People know me here, and to start a new bar feels... Wrong."
"Coming down from New York City, first bar I have been to in the south and I can tell you it’s a new favorite, Tim and Michael are truly welcoming to everyone, the bar atmosphere is very laid back nice music and amazing drinks at great prices. Come check it out."

"Very nice Tavern with a wonderful staff and a friendly customer base. There is a beautiful outdoor space for those who smoke or want to play some corn hole. There is a single pool table inside even though the space isn't very large. There's no smoking inside but the covered deck outside with plenty of seating."
