"Quite literally the worse psych office I’ve ever in my life have ever had to deal with. They do not care about you. They will take days to call you back for refills.. make you pay the full amount for an appointment that consists of a 2 minute conversation with an NP. I called to get my prescriptions refilled today when they informed me that my doctor has LEFT the practice 3 weeks prior to me calling and that my prescription will take 8 days to renew after a new consultation. Were they ever going to tell me? My condition requires 4-6 medications daily to manage. Each one of these is very vital to my mental health. They once didn’t refill my anti-depressant medication for 2 weeks almost landing me in the hospital for severe withdrawals. Don’t go here. If I could rate them a -10 I would."

"I called this place because I am seeking help, I am new to the area and have no idea of the surrounding services only what I can google. After speaking to someone from their office, they informed me that I would need a referral. A few days later I received another call from Alabama Psychiatry asking if I’m still interested in making an appointment. We spoke for several min regarding their services (I feel that I need a councilor or therapist NOT a dr/Psychiatrist) and I told her that my prior phone call ended with me needing a referral (which is fine, I’ve just been busy) and she verified the need for a referral due to me having Alabama Medicaid insurance. She was very nice and took her time with me explaining their services etc. I hung up and called my dr to get the referral sent. After a few calls back and forth with my primary dr office I was able to send them Alabama Psychiatry Fax number to get the referral sent. The next day, I get ANOTHER call from Alabama Psychiatry and spoke to Kyla (I know now to get all their names that I speak with) - I was thinking ‘Wow, that’s fast’ as if I’m going to be able to make an appointment only to be told they no longer accept new Medicaid patients. She started off by saying ‘I don’t know who you spoke with and what they told you buttttt we no longer accept new Medicaid patients’ so BEFORE I said ANYTHING that was her words… I explained that I had just talked to my primary dr about sending a referral to them and she said ‘that’s fine, just have them send it somewhere else’ … that is AFTER verifying with me that I only had Medicaid insurance and not a secondary insurance. I just thought that was rude nor was the whole ordeal professionally, people from different clinics and states calling you about Alabama Psychiatry in Dothan."
