"Great doctor."

"My experience of dealing with this doctor's clinic ACC was extremely bad. For my iron deficiency, this doctor recommended to get the IV Iron infusion done, which I already knew that I needed, I just needed a Hematologist sign off/order, so that I can get the infusion done. But this clinic insist on getting the infusion done only at their place. I asked how much is the total cost of the procedure but I did not get clear answer. They wanted to charge $2000 upfront before processing through insurance. I have a very good medical insurance with United healthcare, my deductible for the year is almost met and they confirm that they cover this procedure. But this clinic kept referring to Out of Pocket Maximum (not deductible), which I felt is a way of confusing/tricking people into paying the amount that they say upfront. One of my friend did the same procedure in Boston at $200 per session paid out of pocket. I felt that this clinic's financial department was not very transparent/honest to letting me know total cost of the procedure and so that I can understand how much I will need to pay and if it is accurate or not. When I found another infusion center which was affordable for me, this ACC clinic refuses to send the recommendation to affordable infusion center of my choice. Rather they ask me to see another Hematologist to get the same diagnosis done and to get the same recommendation for Iron infusion. For me it makes no sense, I already paid to Dr. Steis for the diagnosis and treatment recommendation, why should I go to another doctor to get the same diagnosis, wasting my time and hard earned money? I felt his clinic was bullying me into using their infusion center only(no wonder it was pricey). I can get the same procedure done in other center at much lesser cost. The whole episode of dealing with this doctor's clinic has only stressed me out . So I would sincerely alert anyone who is thinking of going to this doctor in ACC. I feel that this clinic has really bad business ethics. Unfortunately this is the healthcare business of today. I wish you all great Health!"

"Love Dr. Steis. He saved me from another MD on short notice after near death experience with blood clots in lungs, heart, legs and through out my body. He found a very unusual double inherited blood mutatation which no other doctor found (especially last Hemotologist) resulting in a treatment plan that has been extremely effective.
