About the Business
Excel Martial Arts, located at 203 Pelham Road South in Jacksonville, Alabama, is a premier institution for learning Taekwondo and self-defense. Our certified black belt instructors are not only skilled competitors, but also serve as role models for the community.
Our programs are designed to be age-specific, developmentally appropriate, and focused on self-defense. While we primarily teach traditional Taekwondo, we also incorporate self-defense techniques and athletic development to provide a well-rounded martial arts experience for students of all ages and abilities.
At Excel Martial Arts, our mission is to develop black belts who are leaders both on and off the mats. We believe in the transformative power of Taekwondo, helping students build confidence, integrity, empathy, and improve their physical and mental health.
Our Little Dragons program is specifically tailored for 3-6 year olds, helping them gain confidence, self-esteem, and reach developmental milestones. For older children, our Beginner Kids Program focuses on fundamental martial arts skills, while instilling focus, discipline, and self-control.
Teen and Adult Programs are designed to meet individual goals, whether they be fitness, self-defense, or personal development. Additionally, we offer Tai Chi classes, an internal Chinese martial art known for its health benefits and slow, intentional movements.
We strive to make our programs affordable for families, offering competitive rates and unlimited classes. We recommend training at least two to three times a week to see progress without overtraining, although students are welcome to train more frequently if desired.
