"This doctor is a butcher!!! He perforated my intestines while performing a simple procedure, then sent me home. The entire thing was videotaped. After getting home, I called and complained for several days. He said I just couldn't take pain. 7 days later I walked into an ER. Woke up in icu with a colostomy. I should have been dead. He claims to be a Christian. To date I have had 15 surgeries fixing his mistakes. My whole life was ruined. He just hid behind his attorneys. Due to malpractice laws at that time, I couldn't find a lawyer willing to help. If it had been a car wreck, it would have been better. I doubt he would even care about how his actions destroyed my life. He has never even tried to follow up on me. Oh, that video tape from the procedure was lost!! Yea, right."

"Dr Martin must be a changed man. My experience with him when I was 26 years old at Southern Regional was as follows Dr Takagi was my obstetrician. I had a problem pregnancy known as a placenta prévia. Dr Takagi told me I could start bleeding at any time and it would be serious. It happened and I had blood transfusions for a 2 day period in the hospital both doctors Takagi and Martin practiced at. I had not met Takagi’s partner before this night in the hospital. This is how it happened: My husband had gone home to rest that night April 28, 1986. A doctor and nurses entered my room after my husband left. The lights flipped on and a doctor was acting impatient and angry. This was Dr Martin as he told me that I would deliver that night. As I was on morphine I was struggling to confront him but was hazy and weak from all the morphine given to me at that time along with the oxytocin. The oxytocin was given to start contractions All of this done without the consent of my husband or my self. I was too drugged to contest. The baby was delivered at 26 weeks gestation. Underdeveloped.and died. Dr Martin said I need to see the baby. I said I cannot. Not until my husband arrives. I was hysterical and saddened as well as appalled this doctor whom I have never met before threw the baby on the hospital bed and said this is what drugs will do. Excuse me? Drugs? I was a married college student and with dreams of having children. Drugs were not a part of any of it. Dr Martin was a cold, inhumane animal. when he left the room the nurses apologized for his heartless and cruel behavior. For years I dealt with this humiliation and grief I am much older now but I will never forget that haunting night.. Do you remember Darryl Martin? I still go to the cemetery and wonder what kind of woman my daughter Angel would have been."

"The staff were very nice and professional. Wait time was about 5-10 minutes. Staff was very thorough collecting and documenting information (followed up from pre check in online). The feeling I got from Dr Martin was warm and caring as well as professional and to the point. Explained in layman’s terms planned procedures and follow ups. He made me feel relaxed and at ease before starting my exam. Great experience compared to previous doctors."

"Except for Christie who booked my appointment, I am pleased with being seen and with the other healthcare professionals here. Christie, is who booked my appointment was rude and feigned sweetness but was really nasty...going around in circles with me about my VA paperwork instead of being helpful. It is already very bureaucratic dealing with the VA and she seemed to want to make it difficult for me. Secondly she gave me the wrong appointment time. She told me my appointment was 8:30 a.m. when my appointment was 10:30 ( I think she did it on purpose), luckily I get the text appointment reminders. Christie is a great coaching opportunity for the more experience healthcare providers to train her on how to speak to and treat clients when they call. She is the reason I rate a 4 instead of 5.The front desk receptionist was courteous and the young lady who I guess had to complete my check in (I checked in online) asked for my VA referral was also pleasant. On a positive note I think Dr. Martin is a great doctor! He has a comfortable demeanor and pleasant bedside manner. He is very easy talk to. He answered all of my questions and seems to care about his patients, which I really appreciate."
