"Service was amazing and the restaurant itself was very nice inside. The food though..... I got the veal parmesan and it was kind of overall just bland and I got it served on a chipped plate. Not a great start for a place that apparently just opened not too long ago. They served us garlic knots as a free appetizer and they were really disappointing. They lacked salt, butter, and garlic of all things. It came with little tubs of salted butter but it should have already been properly buttered and flavored in my opinion. Also they apparently don't have a liquor license as of this review, which is strange for an Italian restaurant to not have wine in my opinion, so that was a bummer."

"Went for lunch and had the lunch special manicotti which I thought was good! The bread served before the meal was a touch overcooked on the top to my liking but otherwise fine. Service was great!"

"If you haven’t tried this place go as soon as you can! What a great option for Italian food in Dothan. We had a table of 6 on Sunday night. Our waitress was so sweet and took great care of us. All of the pasta dishes were delicious, I don’t think you can go wrong here. Do yourself a favor and order a bowl of Alfredo sauce for your garlic knots. Don’t skip out on dessert; the Italian cream cake was a treat!"

"I love Italian food, and I wanted to first share the good. The interior is quiet, cozy, and welcoming. Softly lit and no blaring music is refreshing. The staff are all very quick and attentive. However the food was a disappointment. The calamari was overtly chewy, no crisp to the fry, and had a slightly fishy taste. I ordered the parmesan and the chicken breading was soft/pasty and the meat was tough, and tasted as though it was a frozen cutlet. The pasta for some reason had been oiled and the sauce didn't cling to anything. Add to that the sauce was rushed watery and broken. I wanted to like this but unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to finish the dishes and spending 30 dollars on lunch left hungry. Maybe it would have been better with wine, but sadly the do not offer it here either."

"When my fiancé and I walked in on a Saturday evening, at the height of the dinner hour, we were worried about a bit of a wait, which is expected, though we were able to be seated immediately the bar (which does not YET serve alcohol). I got coffee (amazing), and we got calamari for our appetizer. While we were waiting, the gentle notes of traditional Italian music and the occasional conversation in Italian by some of the staff definitely added to the ambiance. The calamari was fantastic, though it was the marinara sauce that blew my mind. I could have literally just eaten it with a spoon. I ordered frutti du mare #2 (I probably misspelled that) and my fiancé had been talking about a dish with Italian sausage, marinara sauce, and cheese that he loved, but hadn't been successfully recreated for him in 25 years. Anyway, they said they could make it for him, and he also got fettuccine Alfredo. The food came. Angels were singing. Rapturous tears were falling from my cheeks after the first bite. Ok, maybe I exaggerate that, but not much. My fiancé was over the moon that his favorite dish was PERFECT. He raved about the alfredo, as well. Needless to say, we will be regulars at La Favorita."
