Durham Middle School

"Hi would you like to send your kid to this middle school well you’ve come to the right place there are very good teachers, sometimes reasonable discipline, not to bad of lunch, but the kids there are biggggg Fatttt BULLYS.....yes,the administrators take care of it but most of the time they get away with there selfish acts .I believe that the BULLYS use their classmates as an excuse to get attention.If you are sending your kid here make sure you tell them to put Their big boy pants on and me a man !!!!!!!!!"

"ADMINISTRATION IS WAY TOO STRICT, they give you ISS (in school suspension) for everything. Also they invade your privacy because they watch those cameras very closely and they can zoom in on your face and even hear what you are saying. Lastly, if you ever get called up to the office for something you did not do be prepared to get ISS because they will falsely accuse you of it. Not to mention those freaking agendas, the teachers will threaten you to death with those things. if you go to class "unprepared" as they call it when in reality you forgot to bring a dang glue stick to class they well most definitely mark you agenda and then guess what? silent lunch for you! And if you don't go haha nothing surprising its an iss. but on the bright side the 8th grade has really nice teachers."

"having transfered from a different middle school and knowing the workings of each, i think wholeheartedly that Durham is the worst experience i have had at a school. the workings of the school are sloppy and stress is addednto students more than it needs to be. i have also noticed, that in order to get the kids to listen or work they are either bribed with tons of candy or told that other schools have it worse when reallly, they dont. at this school we feel that we are in constant pressure to donate to their foundation and that information regarding activities is not really their concern. in conclusion i would not recommend this school and am sorry if it is the one you have been stuck with."

"I agree 100% with the poor admin reviews and ISS, etc. Not helping anyone - this school is more concerned with the "perfect" looking kids and kids who can fit into the cobb county "mold" without questioning anything, hence making them the "perfect" fit into the school. This is like this whole area/cluster of Ford, Harrsion, etc. Way to "perfect" for the average kid or a kid who might have some differences. Just not accepted in anyway unless your perfect. Perfect is not always the best. Some kids could use some perks for being different too and not have only the "Best" get all of the kudos. It might go along way with children's futures."

"This School Is one of the worst schools in Cobb County. I am in 6th grade and this school is so bad I am probably going to Lost Mountain Middle School. Their bullying system sucks the R.I.P test. And if someone uses it the administration finds out puts the kid in ISS and then the kids get out and nothing changes. This school and the staff are so stupid they need to learn some more before you run a school."
