"Prices are higher than Publix. Poor customer service at the local corporate level. Will not return a call. They act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to shop there.Prices are not at cost plus 10% as advertised. For example, bannanas when i shopped were at 70 cents per pound, and Publix was at 69 cents. On top of that, they add 10% at check out... for a whopping 77 cents. Prices instantly increased on the same products that Sav a Lot store brands sold before they were bought out. Meat prices instantly increased. I asked how they explained "cost." They told me they included transportation and overhead costs, and then they add 10%. Well, that could be anything they want it to be. So, in my mind, they are doing false advertising. Talked with other store customers, and they were shell shocked over the priced too."
