"Half an hour before close asked one to do his job... she said they're counting the til and won't do it HALF HOUR BEFORE CLOSING. Kicked me out for pointing out they don't want to do their job and said they're gonna call the cops because I said it's dumb that they close their store a half hour before their set time while leaving the doors unlocked..don't recommend going to this location don't go to this location."

"My visit at Dollar General was great. The staff from yesterday 2/20/21 morning was wonderful. Very nice, very helpful with my questions even a few laughs. They really made sure that their customer was satisfied. They assisted me with the best deals. I wouldn’t mind going back to shop on their shift. You ladies have a blessed, safe and wonderful year."

"Last night was by far the worst experience in the Adel Dollar General. As we were walking through the store, it seemed they were out of everything. Sugar, paper towels, laundry detergents, dish soap etc. While I was observing the roll around stock carts, every shelf that was empty wasn’t because they were sold out. It was simply because they hadn’t stocked the shelves. This is an every visit problem I’ve noticed. Last night I got my stuff off the roll around carts, the rest from the mostly empty or cluttered disorganized shelves and went to the counter. Getting there, the two employees were complaining to each other about how “terrible” the company is to work for because they didn’t get their pay raise. I was never greeted at the cash register, or upon entering the store at that. Once I sat my things down on the counter, she rang some stuff up. Totaled it and gave me my total, I slid my card then realized she didn’t ring up the rest of what was in my basket or beside it because she wasn’t even looking towards me the entire time she was looking to the side talking about her pay raise. I said ma’am you forgot to ring up some of my items, she looked at me with a look as if I had interrupted the most important conversation in her life. They need to get their store together before we will go back, and employees who aren’t so rude."

"This place needs a bit of extra help apparently. While the employee, (the only one I saw in the store the entire visit), was polite, the store was in desperate need of attention. Half the hooks in several areas are empty, alot of empty shelves, and the shelves that were stocked looked terrible as if someone just grabbed random items and threw it on."
