"Just had a very disappointing experience with one of the presumed owners of the store and will likely never return. I bought a new, in-the-box, rubberized medicine ball here yesterday for ~$50. Took it out of the box today only to discover that the rubber is way too slick and the outgassing fumes were too much. I've lived in Decatur for 25+ years and have known of the store and know one of their occasional employees. I returned to the store today where a different crew was in staff to attempt an exchange for a more expensive "pleather" ball but was told by the owner that I had to have a receipt which I wasn't able to locate and was refused an exchange on this basis because "it's our policy." I was then accused of having some "problem" before I came in so I left the ball with them without getting a refund or exchange so they can re-sell it to another unsuspecting customer."
"They have something for every sport. Prices are reasonable. The men working there were really helpful and nice."
"Good selection of used (and some new) sports gear. I’ve bought a golf club and golf balls from here. They also have a good selection of disc golf discs."
"Lost disc golf discs get dropped off here from a nearby course and supposedly 75% get returned. if you know one got dropped off but are told they can’t find it they will not let you go look in the lost and found bin and will cuss you out for questioning their integrity. Spent tons of money here on discs before this awful encounter."
"The heavy set older guy needs to check his attitude. Came in to sell clubs, low balled me, which is expected here, so not a big problem. But the guy became upset after I asked to negotiate and told me to “hurry up, I don’t have all day” with a seriously sour face… after one simple question. If it’s a fixed price, fine, but having such a hostile attitude is not necessary. I went to Play It Again in Roswell and they offered me literally double for some of the clubs I brought with great customer service- it’s worth the extra drive. (Roswell also seems to have much more reasonable selling prices) As anyone can see from the owners response here, the immaturity and lack of professionalism and customer service is transparent."
