"I have been there on December 21st. I booked for a touch up roots, cut and blowout. Relaying on the website prices I didn’t do any specific question, having already an idea about the final cost (considering the highest price posted online on their website). After my appointment I realized that I have been charged extra $$$, before the 24% tip that I left. The next day, I contacted the salon via email asking a split of my bill because I could not understand the reason why by bill was higher than what I expected. Immediately after my email, they stated I had the entire head colored, so I thought that there has been a communication problem (it can happen) between the chair and the front desk and for this reason I kindly asked for a refund. Several days after (almost 10), they changed their answer: I had the retouch yes but before the appointment I did receive an estimate about the services (false, emails can prove what I say) and that my assumption about the final price was incorrect because their website -by their own admission- needs to be updated (I have their email with these statements). At the end of the day I think that the service I received on the chair was okay, I really liked Mallory’s work, but the customer service is very unsatisfactory . Two stars is an average vote between Mallory performance and front desk service."

"I generally can’t stand getting my hair cut, but I have to admit that Davao—and their stylist, Tati, in particular—are amazing!! I used to go to more chain hair cut places in the past, and then after Covid hit, I got in the habit of just cutting my hair myself because it was faster, cheaper, and I didn’t have to put up with forced and awkward conversational attempts from strangers. But as good as I got at cutting my own hair, I reached a point where I was trying something different and needed help so I broke down and tried Davao hair studio. I’m so glad I did. The place is super nice, all of the staff are great and make you feel totally comfortable. Tati is wonderful, and even though she’s young enough to not get half of my 90’s references, I actually have a blast talking to her while she shows off her superb styling skills which reminds me I wasn’t as good at cutting my own hair as I thought I was. I’ve been twice now and am actually looking forward to my next visit. And the best part is that even though this is such a nice studio with expert staff, it’s really not much more expensive than what I used to pay at the horrible chain locations. I can’t recommend this studio highly enough."

"I loved my experience with this hair salon! It was truely high end experience! Great service, friendly and welcoming staff. It was my very first visit and my hair stylist was Alexis. She listened very carefully what I wanted and what my struggles were with my hair and suggested her ideas and solutions. She also gave me a very relaxing scalp massage which I loved so much! During the process she explained every step she was doing, showed every product she used and what was it for. She also showed me some styling tips and explained how to get the desired result. And in the end, I got a very nice, stylish and manageable haircut. My hair never looked better!"
