"We love chicken stop for catfish. Went there Friday. No problem that it took over 45 min cause it was very busy. Problem was that when I went to eat my second piece of fish it's was so thin and mostly breading. We PD for 4 pieces and it really was only 3. Going next time this doesn't happen but we definitely CK before I take Platte off counter"

"The experience was terrific. Parking was plentiful; the wait staff was very social; customers were friendly; and the carry out plates were superior to most dine in/carry out businesses. The location was a short drive off our route when visiting my wife's sister. It was well worth the detour."
"My husband, son and I tried Chicken Stop for the first time August 24, 2023. I had heard they had very good fried catfish. Well let me tell you it is the best I’ve had. It was perfectly cooked, there slaw and hush puppies were delicious. My son had the fried okra and mac and cheese with his. He said it was delicious. It was cooked perfect and was seasoned well. We have always gone to a fish place in Columbus, Georgia and another location in Phenix City, Alabama. They have good fish but Chicken Stop has them beat. The staff is very nice. We did have to wait a few minutes for the whole fish but it is cooked to order. Great food is worth the wait! If you haven’t tired it you’re missing out! They have us as a customer for as long as they stay open. We will definitely try there other menu items. Carol and Gary"
"Good experience over all. I was excited because they offer grilled chicken, rather than the locally typical fried… they know how to fry chicken & their fried food in general is done very well, so I’ll have to stick to their fried foods."
