"2nd longest paved recreation trail in the nation. One of my absolute favorite places to ride or walk. Beautiful scenery around Piedmont, AL and along the way. Trail is usually in good condition."

"We really enjoy riding the Chief Ladiga Trail. We regularly come over from Birmingham to ride sections of it. The Trail is started to have some rough spots. They aren't real noticeable unless you are going faster than about 14 or 15 mph. The trail goes from open areas to forests and back and forth. A very enjoyable trail. We will continue to drive over and ride on it."

"One of the absolute best biking trails in the US in my opinion! A large portion of it goes through the heart of downtown Piedmont, Alabama which is a truly beautiful city. The land and scenery along the way is so amazingly beautiful! One of America's hidden gems!"

"Love this trail. We've rode our bikes all the way from the start in Weaver to about 3 miles to where it turns into the silver comet trail. Its wonderful the whole way. It is more scenic from Piedmont to the GA line though."

"Prettiest stretch was in the Talladega National Forest. The Chief Ladiga Campground is a great place to stay. Very easy, mildly-graded trail."
