"Absolutely beautiful. Well maintained, my 8 year olds had a blast. I think we saw the largest poplar tree? Either way I love hiking and this whole experience was amazing."

"Originally planned on going to three forks trailhead but did not know that the road up to three forks is closed during the winter. Fortunately we found the Bear Creek Spur Trailhead on our way back down and decided to hike the spur/loop and do some winter camping as well. The trail was very well maintained and quite enjoyable. Was tough to find a good spot off the trail to tent for the night, but eventually found a flat spot in a shallow valley right next to Bear Creek a ways off the trail. Overall, a great experience with an awesome view of the mountains from the road on the way out."

"Fun 7 mile climb to the outlook. 1600 feet of elevation gain. You’ll take a few hours to get to the top but bombing down is a blast 30+ mph and lots of floaters. Absolutely a workout but one with an epic reward. Creek crossings are something to watch wet feet in the cold is no bueno. Also bring a map or download something to navigate with. No cell service until you get to the top at least no with AT&T or T-Mobile definitely be prepared as contacting rescue would be tricky."

"We did the entire loop at ~3 hours, 6.5 miles. The 2nd half of hike (around the old tree) was really great. The first few miles were just okay, followed along this extra wide atv type road. Enjoyed only having a few others on trail, felt cool being so far out in woods away from people."
