"The Vintage was recommended by a local business so we had high expectations. Nothing about our experience was bad--just not a 5. The Raspberry chicken salad was actually just an appearance of spring lettuce with a few tomatoes, a sprinkle of cheese, some pieces of chicken and a drizzle of raspberry dressing. Not terrible but not anything great. We also had the Vintage burger which was also okay. The building is pretty cool."

"Great find! A local hangout for friends and musicians. We were traveling from NJ to New Orleans, second night on the route. First night, bland dinner at Cracker Barrel. Tonight, a gem. Open mic night with three performers. Lots of talent and just plain fun. Food was good. The entertainment great. Loved it!"

"Brought my family to see Desoto Falls for vacation. We planned to eat at Vintage 1889 before even getting into town! Vintage 1889 looked cool and nice from Google reviews. We had lunch there today, and took pictures. Shout to the manager, Miss Angie! She was awesome and recommended a few menu items that were very good! Great restaurant, awesome food, great vibe and atmosphere! Very friendly staff! We will most definitely be back next time we visit Fort Payne, Alabama!"

"Well, in theory cool place. In reality, not so much. Very nice waitress, however, and I loved the mismatched tables. Food just not. Ate on a Saturday at 11 for lunch. Pretty empty. No fries available for lunch. They are currently having a bathroom problem, you have to go to a adjoining building to use one."

"If you travel through the area and are looking for a very cool "local" experience, it doesn't get any better than this. The restaurant is part of a historic, once world renowned sock making factory that makes for some amazing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the food was prompt and delicious. They encouraged us to look around and we saw some of the old machines that still had thread in them from the day they were turned off. All this and it was only lunch time. I can't wait to pass back through on a Friday or Saturday night and see a band or just socialize with the locals and sample their dinner menu."
