Lakeside Motel

"Me and 6-8 other guys stay in these rooms every year as we hunt in the area. Listing everything below. Pros: -Motel has land you can hunt on if you're staying here. I believe it's like 400acres. Although I've never hunted it -The staff are super nice and will do what they can to help you anytime. -the room will always be clean. Grace does a great job of housekeeping -Location. Great location for hunting. -spaces to park a trailer Cons: -literally everything else. -price is absolutely ridiculous compared to others. 65-70 for w solo room. 90 for double. If you have 3 people in a double room its 105. After 2 people they just add 15$ a person. I understand why because some guys bring 6 guys in a room but it's still ridiculous. We max 3 guys in a room as only a few rooms are big enough to put another cot in. -towels, linens, furniture, curtains, etc are all outdated and just have an grandmother's house feel -the curtains in the room are not blackout. If sleeping during the day it's bright as hell. Even at night the lights from the motel shine in -absolutely no TV channels. Like 3 local channels and that's it. Overall. If you're staying here it's out of convenience as there's no other hotels anywhere close. You'll be treated well and your room will be clean."

"THE OFFICE CLOSES AT 10PM. If you're going to arrive after 10pm the office can accommodate that, but you must call during office hours and request it. Prior reviews I read on here saved me from making this snafu. Room was clean and lightly lemon scented. Microwave and fridge available. Comfy temperature. Nice warm shower but it's the smaller square kind. The combo shampoo/conditioner was in a packet that's super hard to open once you're actually showering. Tear it open with dry hands! Wifi (unprotected) available. Overall, better than expected for a mom and pop motel. Beds are size full and not queen. Lots of history here with scuff marks all around the room. Perfectly adequate and functional though. I was disappointed the towels were not fluffy. Pillows were very fluffy. Room 31 has a pretty blue wall and the 3 is smaller than the 1 on the door which made my husband and I laugh."

"I found a gem here! met a high school buddy for a weekend of golf and this was the half way point. A-1 hospitality...i locked myself out after the manager left, she was right back and let me in within 4min. very affordable and nice Clean rooms. We WILL be back"

"Nice clean rooms, and amazing staff! Staying here for a couple days and the lady at the desk provided my kids some balloons and coloring supplies to keep them entertained! Great people!"

"The rooms are very small with old, ragged furniture. The room was $80 per night, and very over priced for the quality. We checked in 9/3/16 to find the room smelled of chemicals. It made us sick, so we left in the middle of the night. The office closes at 10:00 pm, so no one to discuss the matter with was available. The next morning we called to cancel our reservation for the next 2 nights. The manager told us she would not refund our money. Then threatened to call the sheriff to have us arrested. The worst customer service I have ever heard of."
