"We visited El Pueblo Mexican Grill on Cinco de Mayo and they were serving free shots of tequila! Now that’s customer appreciation! Of all the Mexican restaurants we have tried in the Dalton area, this one has the best food! We will travel past all the others to go here in Calhoun. PROS: The prices are reasonable and they have good size portions. The food has great flavor including the beans and rice. The chicken, steak, pork carnitas and shrimp had fantastic flavor and were moist and tender. Good size bar with lots of drink choices. Friendly waitstaff. Needs improvement: Walls are dirty in the booths. We had a hard time understanding our waitress with her mask and she wasn’t very attentive. Chips and salsa - Thin chips are great, salsa is decent. Taco salad - good El Monterey - delicious El Mazatlan - delicious Will go back. Update 6/2021 We returned for dinner with a friend and noticed the walls were clean, their were many waiters and overall the place seemed cleaner. The food was still delicious."
