CVS Pharmacy

"Both CVS locations in Flowery Branch at Target and Spout Springs Road are horrible. The automated phone system is one of the most customer unfriendly systems that I have ever had to deal with. You stay in a constant cycle with the bot trying to send you to use the app instead of actually being able to speak with a human. Called Spout springs location because RX # was not recognized in system. Spoke to someone who wanted to argue with me that the Rx did not exist and during the conversation some phenomena happened and she was able to suddenly find the Rx. Asked if Rx could be ready in 2 hrs but was quickly told no and I would receive a text when ready. I said do not fill because I will not be in the area after 2 hrs. Called Flowery Branch location and after being in automated phone chaos for 7 minutes I spoke to Lisa(tech). Again gave Rx # and told the CVS Rx I gave did not exist. From there she proceeded to tell me I only had Rx for 30 days and not 90. I said no I just spoke to Spout Springs and somehow they were able to find Rx. She argued with me that there was no such Rx and she would just fill 30. I said no I have 90 days with 3 refills and that is what I want. She told me she would have to print out all of my Rxs and see if she could find it and it would take her quite some time. Why, CVS is a nationwide co this is unacceptable to continue to put customers through this chaos. Lisa called me back and said the CVS cloud would no allow her to see Rx-but some miracle had happened and she found it. I went to the Flowery Branch location to pick up RX. Adam(the pharmacist manager) had headset on talking at back computer. No one was at front counter. I got in line behind another lady and we stood for 13+ minutes as another lady joined the wait line. We could hear someone behind back counter opening boxes and stocking. No one acknowledges us- no one comes to counter to say we will be right here in a few minutes. I finally see a bald headed man stand from behind the counter while Adam is still on phone. He looks our way and turns back to doing what he is doing without saying a word. I finally say excuse me could you help us? He rudely yells that he is looking for a medication for a customer before me. All three of the CVS customers standing and waiting were appalled at the way an employee spoke to me and the lack of customer service. We continued to wait. Finally Adam comes over and checks us out. I told Adam my experience and asked for the District Managers name and contact info and he provided. He told me he would speak to his employees as he is the store manager. I have had so many horrendous experiences with CVS and so have so many of my students and friends. I am forced to continue to use this pharmacy because of Aetna but I would never choose it if I had the choice."

"*UPDATE* The pharmacy tech's name is Lisa, and it seems this is not the first complaint like this about her. Normally we have a very good experience here but today was different. I called the pharmacy today to see if my wife's prescription was ready as she was going to run by and grab it on her lunch break. The pharmacist on the phone told me it would be ready by 11:30 am, which was perfect since she goes on lunch at 11am. My wife gets there and speaks with the older lady at the counter, who is normally very nice, and she stated it wouldn't be ready until later this afternoon because the pharmacist is very busy doing flu shots. My wife asked why he said it would be ready by 11:30 over the phone and she was met with "a lot of people call first thing in the morning on the day their meds are allowed to be filled on because they want their amphetamines." Excuse me but who are you to judge people and treat them like addicts when they are just trying to pick up a prescription at a convenient time, and who made you the damn gate keeper of meds based off of your poor assumptions. My wife left to go back to work and as I am writing this at 12:15 pm, she received a text stating her meds have been filled and are ready to pick up. We will be taking our business elsewhere."

"2/1 EDIT: I am CONTINUING to be harassed by Lisa's family. I received another message on my social media today. This is unreal. EDIT: After leaving this review, I received a call at my place of employment and was threatened! With a quick google search of the phone number it was traced back to Lisa....WOW!! UNETHICAL! I just had the worst experience with Lisa at CVS inside target. There is a nationwide shortage of a medication that I take everyday. This month I am having trouble finding it. So I called to ask if they had it available. Lisa started the conversation off by saying they did have a few of my medication. She then asked me why I didn’t get it filled at my regular pharmacy, to which I let her know they were out along with many other pharmacies. She then changed her story to tell me they did NOT have my medication available. Shocked considering she just said they did-I questioned her on this. She proceeded to tell me she gets “20 calls a day with people looking for this medication and it’s EXHAUSTING!” I said that there’s a national shortage I’m sorry that helping people find their necessary medicines are exhausting to her… she then continued to tell me they prefer to only fill prescriptions for their “loyal customers they have had for years” In total shock of how I was talked to I decided to go up to the store and talk to the pharmacist. SHOCKER-they had the medication available. Lisa blatantly lied to me about having my medication and was rude beyond belief! If taking calls about people needing med refills is “exhausting” to you then maybe you shouldn’t work in a pharmacy. Why would I EVER become a “loyal customer” to someone like you!? An official grievance was filed with their ethics board. Next time you need a medication refilled I would highly suggest not going to this CVS because they might be gatekeeping the meds you need! And they are mostly certainly dishonest."
