Courtyard by Marriott Albany

"This was the most unprofessional experience that I’ve ever had! I noticed that a 200.00 was placed and called to get clarification. The manager Susan was extremely rude and kept interrupting telling me she had been working 12 hours as if that had anything to do with me! She hung up on me and after calling several times asking for corporate number or email she would answer the phone and just hold it! She also had employee that was rude as well! This was something simple that could have been handled better had the correct information been provided! I was told one price of 129 and charged 149.00 plus tax. I am going to dispute the entire amount and never stay here again! Beware and check your cards after staying here!"

"Great customer service every time I am there! This has become my default hotel while visiting Albany State University. The renovations are nearly complete. Everything in the rooms is new with an updated style. The staff are very welcoming and friendly."

"I attempted to book a stay with this hotel for 2 weeks with the probability of staying longer (up to 3 weeks total). I work for the Government and posses the proper identification. When I attempted to access the Government Rate (the government only allows for us to spend the standard ‘Per Diem’ rate for our lodging) the manager informed me that the Courtyard’s policy did not allow ‘contractors’ to receive the government rate. My employment is based on contracts and therefore my CAC has ‘contractor’ on it. This is not a day pass or a DBIDS access card. I was unable to book with the Albany Courtyard. I have stayed with many other Courtyards in many other cities with no issues using the Gov’t rates. My request is that the Upper Management reconsider this policy. If this policy has been misinterpreted by the staff, please correct this issue for future bookings."

"The staff was amazing and very friendly. The hotel was going through renovations, so there was dust and debris everywhere. My room was not very clean. There was a used wash rag hanging on the shower curtain rod. There were no tissues and only one towel, hand towel and wash rag. Floor in bathroom was dirty. No water pressure and took forever for the hot water to get hot. Overall, I will not stay there again. Was very disappointed. ."

"The hotel is under renovation/construction. Call ahead before staying here to see if it's done. Came back from work today to find the elevator unusable because the floor in the lobby area is being redone. The place should've been closed for this work to be done, it's ridiculous. Can't believe Marriott brand let this happen. Checking out early to find a usable hotel."
