Margaritaville Lake Lanier

"We have gone to Margaritaville for years. We buy or tickets at the gate because our group of over 15 changes until the very last moment. This season, apparently, they went to online ticket sales only. This normally isn't a problem, but the option provided was to use the smartphone to purchase. We explained that financial transactions were unsafe on the phone, and we just wanted to purchase at the gate. They refused and pointed us to a computer terminal to use the website. After creating a user name and password, the website refused to allow us to purchase tickets, which then sent us back to use a third party's phone to purchase our group tickets. At that point, you then have to input the individual names, addresses, birthdays, and emails for each person then to sign waivers. After spending 60 minutes in this episode, the tickets were in incorrect denominations for group sales pricing. Goin back up to the ticket sales kiosk, the person said, "Let them do it to correct the problem. I asked why, after 60 minutes prior, they were unwilling to assist us. I asked for a manager numerous times, and one of the 3 employees called someone, and we overheard them speaking about us, but no manager appeared or came to sort this out. Bottom line, since individuals placed in the ticket and information area were unwilling to assist and comply with our asking for assistance, we chose another vendor for this sort of outing. We were just one of many people who were unable to purchase tickets in person and were frustrated with this process. Not a very promising future success. Choose another place to spend your money and save the $20 parking gate entry and $6 convenience fee per ticket imposed in the background."

"Title: Disappointing Experience at Margaritaville's Snow Island Review: My visit to Margaritaville's Snow Island was profoundly disappointing, meriting only one star. The attractions, particularly the children's rides, appeared neglected, giving off an aura of being over four decades old. The snow area, which one would expect to be fresh and inviting, was nothing more than a field of ice, suggesting a lack of maintenance and fresh snow production for days. Moreover, the tubing hill, a potentially enjoyable activity, was severely limited, operating merely three lanes that were predominantly icy. This resulted in an unreasonably long 30-minute wait time even at 7 PM. The financial aspect of this experience was equally disheartening. An exorbitant fee of $55 per person was charged for access to a few mediocre events, with an additional $15 required to view a rather uninspiring light show. The overpricing extended to the food and beverages as well, contributing further to the overall sense of dissatisfaction. Given the subpar conditions, excessive wait times, and unreasonable costs, I regretfully state that I will not consider bringing my family back to this establishment. The entire experience was nothing short of appalling, and I sincerely wish for a refund. This establishment falls drastically short of providing a joyful and value-for-money family experience."

"This place sucks. So so so so so expensive, web site is not user-friendly user friendly to buy tickets. Not much to do. Not worth the money!!! The line for the snow tubing was over wait!!! I cannot say enough bad things about chillville!! It would be less of a hassle and a lot cheaper and a lot more worth your money just the book tickets to Colorado if you want to see snow!!! I do not recommend in any way shape or form. How to get this no stars but I didn't have that option."

"Margaritaville is a great place to have fun with friends and family. When you go to the little carnival area in the winter there’s snow tubing and in the summer there’s a pool there’s also ice skating but I don’t know if they have it in every season. They also have golf carts which you can drive around, and they have a luxury RV camp. Overall it’s a wonder place and a Wonderful atmosphere"

"Do NOT camp here...camr in from River Forks campground and was so excited for the margarita resort, but instead paying triple for zero amenities....no pool, no activities, it's literally a parking lot campground. Support the state parks...this place is a major rip off!!"
