"Initially, there was nothing stating that the outdoor fireplace was not usable for guests however there were pictures in the advertisement so one would assume it was there for use. We found out at the same time that the hot tub was broken and we couldn’t use that either. We have 3 families that plan months in advance around work and kids schedules to make this weekend happen for us annually. After learning about the fireplace and hot tub, we tired to find another cabin to stay in but since we were 2 weeks away from the trip, it was impossible with our size crew. Unfortunately, it rained half of our weekend trip which left us the option to sit in the rain around the fire pit or sit inside. Had the outdoor fireplace been available for us or even the hot tub, we could have tried to enjoy the outdoors a little more. We know we’re in the woods so bugs are inevitable but seeing 2 cockroaches run across the floor (where my baby was just crawling) is a little much. Also, apparently the ice maker “is not an amenity.” We found that out once we got there and read the note taped to the freezer. There weren’t any dish towels or sponges to clean with either. There were multiple areas downstairs where the ceiling had been cut out so we could see all of the pipes and wires. I wouldn’t call this a “luxury cabin.”"
