Sliding Rock Cabins

"This was our 4th or 5th time in Riverhouse Retreat and it continues to deliver. Sliding Rock is by far the best rental company we have ever used in any market. If it is in the description I promise it is exactly what you will find amongst arrival. You owe it to yourself to give this little Gem a chance and you won't regret it!"

"We stayed at 23 Holly Hollow ct. I do not recommend, the owner has a ring doorbell on the front door. If you want to sit out with anyone in your party he feels it is ok to watch and listen to your conversations. So your stay is not private and he wants to listen and watch what you are doing. I mean we are in our 70’s like we are not party people however we have a good time as husband and wife of 53 years. Come on when we vacation we want to be in a cabin in the woods by ourselves. If you want you stay watched and listened to then that would be the cabin for you."

"I booked a three knight stay at the thirteen crows cabin. I did not take out Travel Insurance. However I had a serious Health issue which I had a doctor's note not to travel. I was scheduled For heart surgery the day of my return. I asked to cancel and for them to be kind enough to return my money because of my upcoming surgery. I was denied. I can't believe that the people in charge and the owner of the house wouldn't have sympathy for what was happening to me. And that I had no control over. My situation. I actually told them that they could keep my money. And I would definitely book the same cabin when I was healthy Enough to travel. They denied to me once again. So not only am I facing a very expensive heart surgery but. Then keeping my money and not letting me reschedule was Very very upsetting."

"The cabin we stayed in was cozy and the management company is good enough. A few small issues. Their cabins are all pet friendly, which is really fun if you wanna bring your pet but certain parts of the cabin have a strong dog pee smell. They also smell of dog, you can take every precaution with a dog you want but you cant stop a place from smelling like dog. The cabin lacked small luxuries like extra blankets which during a cold week would be a nice gesture. The fire pit at ours is sort of lame, they put it in a weird spot on a hill so you have to use their bench seat to sit around it when I brought much better chairs and its sort of just a few pavers in a small circle to form the fire pit. I may use sliding rock again but I am not sure I would stay in the cabin "Rivers Reach"."

"We had a very relaxing time this past weekend! We would have stayed another night if we could have. Cabin was very clean and well stocked! Couple of suggestions, since we didn't leave the cabin all weekend. Grilling out was very easy with the rain since it was under the screened porch but we would have liked to have had a bigger, newer refrigerator with an ice maker for the price per night. I personally hate filling ice trays. Also, again for the price....the toilet paper was horrible. I would suggest you bring your own! The directions are complicated and when my husband turned on the phone driving directions it led us right to the cabin. We printed the ones they sent us but we didn't come from Atlanta and missed the turn to get to Legion road where the gate is located. I gave the "gate keeper" the lot number and name on the reservation and still had to show my driver's license. The neighbor was very nice and spoke since it is not private and so we only used the hot tub once. Maybe a wood privacy fence on the railing would be better. Overall good relaxing stay and enjoyable cabin!"
