AMC North Dekalb 16

"Please do not waste your time coming to this movie theater. I purchased tickets to see One Love at this movie theater. I purchased tickets for the 20:30 showtime through the AMC website. When we arrived to the theater the first thing I noticed was that the parking lot was desolate. I thought maybe there’s not a lot of people here because when I selected the seats upon purchasing, there were a lot of empty seats. I should have known something was wrong when I saw that. Nevertheless, I decided to give the benefit of the doubt. As soon as we walked up to the front door there was a sign saying “Close for construction.” I was livid. We ended up going to a different movie theater and I explained to them that I already purchased tickets for another location and asked if there was any way my tickets could still be honored at the alternate location we chose to go to. The manager at the alternate location was able to accommodate us so my money did not go to waste. Whoever is in charge of this location needs to list it as temporarily closed on Google Maps and on the AMC website because this was a very misleading purchase! I will be leaving another review for the other AMC we ended up going to."

"Not an AMC theater that I wished or looked for. Theater has a very small screen Not so clean. Chairs are not comfortable. Not all the chairs were in good condition. Not the recliner seats. Will not suggest anyone to book a ticket here"

"We saw "The Color Purple" today and really enjoyed the experience in this theater. The staff didn't do anything particularly noteworthy, but they were mostly efficient and competent and that's the main thing you can ask for. The women's restroom was clean enough, and the popcorn was OK. Taste your drinks at the Coca-Cola Freestyle machine before you completely fill your cup. Some of the flavors aren't as strong or taste as good as others. But the theater itself was also clean and cleared. The picture and sound quality was good. I'd go again. For this part of town, I'd recommend visiting during the day."

"The movie was great, but everything else... You can hear people loud in the lobby areas. At 2 separate times, I thought people were fighting. The theater was cold; cooler than normal for wintertime. Trash was overflowing from the trash receptacles. Lastly, the seats were rocky and need to be upgraded. More than likely, I won't be back. There are closer theaters to my home. This one just had the time I was looking for."

"This theater isn’t horrible, but it’s definitely not a glamorous spot for a nice night out. It’s in the shell of a dead mall, and surrounded by dilapidated stores. I thought it may have been closed down when I was driving around the building. Once you’re inside the theater, it’s alright. Pretty standard, and the staff I ran into seem nice enough. The prices are also reasonable. Just know that this isn’t some fancy date night spot or anything. But if you want to go see a movie for a decent price, it serves the purpose."
