Applebee's Grill + Bar

"The worst. We waited for anyone to just acknowledge us for 6 or 7 minutes, while more and more people piled in behind us. We were warned this Applebees is bad, but we didn’t believe it. Someone finally showed up and was about to seat us. She assumed the bar area, which was full, and my wife asked could we have a booth. The server reacted with disgust, quickly walked to a booth and threw the menus down. My wife turned and asked if we really wanted to be there after that display. I said no and we started to leave. At no point were we stopped by anyone to say “what’s wrong? I’m sorry; we will take care of you”. Short staffed? No idea. We just knew this was a bad idea to spend any money there. Being in the restaurant industry, I’m in the position to advise guests where and where not to go. What do you think I’ll tell them (if asked) about this Applebees?"

"I stayed in town for the weekend, and this was the only place open late enough. The website said they had bring it out to your car curb side pickup. When I got there, I got a text saying my food would be out shortly. To me, that means someone would be out with my food. 22 minutes later, 2 minutes before they closed, I called to ask about my food, and a guy said, "You have to come in and get your food." I was sitting in the curb side spot for almost 30 min by then. They knew I was there. Went in to grab my food, lord knows how long it was sitting there, the guy handed me my food, with a bit of a attitude, and gave me a half hearted sorry for the misunderstanding. As far as the food. Was not impressed. The appetizers were the only good things. The chicken wonton tacos were the best. Absolutely delicious!!! The spinach and artichoke dip didn't really have any flavor. The chicken tenders where over cooked and tough. The waffle fries were ice cold and tasted like they were hours old. The Spanish rice was undercooked and crunchy. By that time, I gave up on the food and threw the steak in the fridge. Could have gotten cheaper food at a gas station. I did eat the steak the next day for lunch and it was good. Even after being in the fridge, it was still tender and flavorful."

"We wanted Soup and Salad, and were not able to get in to another establishment. We saw the Applebee's and decided it would be a good choice. The service was wonderful the Server was so pleasant! I ate the French Onion Soup and a side salad and was so very pleased with all of the choices including the Lemon Olive Oil vinaigrette! So glad our plan changed!"

"The food is good, nothing special. The service is a little slow, but that's okay too."
