"My husband and I were wanting to see a house that Joel Upchurch has listed. Our realtor reached out to him, and he never responded back, even after several attempts. I really feel sorry for the clients he is serving because they are not getting the potential buyers in to see their beautiful homes, due to this guy picking and choosing who can get in to see the houses. I am not from this area, not even this state, but after asking around about this guy, I now know that I will never be doing business with this guy or Remax for not being more professional! "We listed our house earlier this year with Remax under the understanding that the house price due to local market conditions would not be compromised. We were told that looking at comparables for the area it would take about 60 days to sell. After 90 days on the market we were told that it would likely take a bit longer. We had the home under contract three times and two fell through due to COVID effecting finances, the research simply wasn't done by the agent to check the currency of their approval. We always had the home ready and clean, it was a two year old house. After four months on the market we had to lower the price so significantly that it harmed our finances. We lost more than 20k in equity and sold the house for 5k less than we paid in addition to still having to pay the agent the full 6% Ironically the buyers agent was from this office as well and our agent showed the house to the buyer as a favor. Despite this fact and the financial hardship we encountered our agent offered nothing in terms of us recovering some of our loss. They missed out on a few hundred when we dropped the price and we lost thousands. I absolutely would not recommend this agency for the sale of your home."

"After having our home on the market for 4 1/2 months with another local agency who hardly ever showed it and seldom called us, I hired Janet Fox of Remax and she had a sales contract in just 10 days! She worked tirelessly with us, stayed in constant contact and made several personal visits to bring papers to sign or whatever needed to be done to make things work. She arrange service people, cleaners, home inspection and everything else to help us, as we were getting ready for our relocation to another state. "Review regarding Nicole Smith of LaGrange, GA: comes off as bossy and overpowering. Promises 24 hour notice before viewings and has repeatedly gone back on that. Keeps trying to push us into lowering the price and the house has only been on the market maybe a month. She messed up a viewing date and we left for the hour and the next day we awoke to an agent and small family on our front porch. The realtor that was there apologized profusely but Nicole failed to call and apologize for the mistake instead we waited 4 hours to call her and then all she did was say sorry and laughed saying that hasn’t happened to her in a long time. She doesn’t follow up with us about how the viewings went. All in all would not recommend."
