"Excellent atmosphere. Pizza was OK. Breadsticks were better. Nice spot with excellent location, close proximity to everything downtown."

"I'm so glad Mr. Gatti's has made a comeback. I really enjoyed the pizza. The Buffalo chicken was my favorite. There were about 10 different options, as well as a salad bar and a spaghetti & Macaroni and cheese bar. It was around $14 for buffet and drink."

"First time eating at a Mr Gatti's in over 25 years and so fun experience! Location in downtown Opelila is amazing but challenging parking when busy. Pizza buffet is fairly typical but we enjoyed the variety and service was excellent when needing help reaching items on the buffet line. Looking forward to the other location in Auburn!"

"Loved Mr Gatti's growing up, so was excited when hearing they was coming to the area! Same great pizza as I remember with top notch ingredients. Buffet was kept full through the lunch crowd and they have about 15 tv's in the building so should be a great location for game day. Be mindful of when you go cause they do shut down the buffet from 2-5pm it looks like. Top quality pizza on a buffet with pasta options and salad bar for a very reasonable price is why I will keep coming back!"

"Definitely opening growing pains. Be prepared to wait awhile if you go at peak times. We went about 6:15 p.m. and the place was slammed. Had to wait in long lines for pizza to be put out. When we left around 7:20, the crowd had calmed down, and there was plenty of pizza. But then the dessert pizza was all gone .... It was refilled eventually. Just be patient. There is no crowd control. There is just one backed up line that basically goes past where you go in to pay. So people, including large groups, would come in and immediately join the line for pizza instead of going to pay first. I'm not saying everyone that did it was being sinister as it was confusing how the flow of things was supposed to work, but lots of people were not paying. This contributed to there being almost no seating available! Lots of hardworking staff members, thouh. Kudos to them. The young girl filling up the pizza area did a great job keeping up with empty pans, etc. and was always really polite when customers had questions. The actual food isn't bad. I rather liked the pizza, especially the sauce. Lots of combo, Hawaiian, etc. If vegetarian, I would not go as most of the pizzas had meat on them. The cheese sticks and cheese pizza tends to go quickly. If you are going for food other than pizza, there is not much variety. There was a mediocre salad bar and then a section that had spaghetti. The sauce was usually out, though. My kid was happy to see chocolate pudding! A big complaint I have is that they made everything too far down on the bar. I am 5'10" with long arm reach, and it was a stretch to get things, especially in the back row on the salad bar. I thought a little old lady was going to go swimming in the salad dressing! So if you are wondering why the back items don't get taken, it is because they are hard to reach! For a new place, I would hope the place would have been designed better. The flow is all wrong and leads to long lines. The cashier should be by the door not tucked in the corner by the start of the line. Hopefully, these are just new opening issues, and they will get figured out."
