Sunnyside Pizzeria

"Really wanted to love it but missed the mark on quite a few things. Dined at 5:30 Friday night. Only 1 other table was taken (we had a reservation) I got the arugula salad. The lemon to olive oil ratio is off (I make mine the same way) and the balsamic had no flavor. I was hoping for a reduction on the sweet side to counter the lemon juice but it had a similar acidity level so did nothing for the salad. Pear was unripe and hard so again lead no sweetness to the salad. My partner enjoyed their Caesar. Pizzas needed 30 seconds more in the oven as the bottoms were not cooked (white and soggy for both) Top was cooked nicely and crust was great. Ordered Americano coffee which came out after dessert was finished (tiramisu...I would give it a 4...good but not great) The coffee came out splashed everywhere as they were filled to the very top. No room to put in milk (they do not have half and half) and given 2 packets of sweet and low (gross!) Had to go ourselves to ask for sugar (had asked the waiter but he never came back with it) Given a small paper cup with some sugar in it. Would have liked coffee with dessert and not well after..it was not drinkable either way. When we left there was 1 party at the counter and 2 other tables seated (not busy). It's also very bright in there...not he best atmosphere though it was clean. Wish we could have loved it but too many misses to likely return."

"We found this gem of a pizza place after searching Google Maps for Pizza around us after a doctors appointment. If you like Neapolitan style pizza, this place is for you. We got the arugula salad and a Quattro Formaggi and a Margerita pizza and it was all delicious. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend."

"Love their margherita pizza, super thin, crispy, and chewy. The tomato sauce based was nicely made. Dunno about the rest. The chicken piccata was drenched in oil sauce and capers, so creamy that you can barely taste anything else. The chicken breasts were on the drier side. It's a hit or miss place depends on who's cooking"

"Great pizza. Service was pretty good nothing to note. It's a bit dead as I was the only customer at 6:15 but it started to pick up around 7:30. Definitely recommend getting the hot honey char and lemon pepper wings. Wings were cooked perfectly but could be a tad bit crispier. Pizza was great and a great recommendation from the waiter."

"Wife and I were looking for a bite to eat. Had pizza in mind and after a few Google searches, review reads and Google recommendations by prior reviews, we thought we’d give this place a try. I highly recommend a reservation as this place was busy from the bar seating to the patrons eating and the line nearly out the door to be seated all at around 6:15 on a Saturday evening. We arrived about 5 minutes prior to our reservation and were seated within three minutes. Parking is not difficult and seems to be ample with about three restaurants of different cuisine in the same square that is mostly comprised of businesses but closed at night and weekend. Water was delivered promptly. Our order was taken without error and the appetizer of Brussels sprouts was pipping hot and deliciously seasoned with what I believe was pecorino Romano or a slightly salty cheese that enhanced the flavor. The half salad was generous in portion and did have anchovies in the dressing which is to our preference. The pizza came fresh from the oven. A word of caution that because of the temperature, the ingredients will slide off the crust (nice char) if you try to eat it by hand without a fold or will have to use utensils. My wife ordered the bolognese. While it wasn’t to her taste, I found it to be good. Overall, I enjoyed our experience. Professional and courteous staff, good food and very good value. I’d definitely recommend it and will be back to sample other items on the menu."
