"We have been coming here since my son has been getting his haircut and appreciated the service as there is a patience needed for cutting a toddler' hair. Considering the haircut is $35 for a full service haircut when a 2 year old only gets a haircut and not a wash and blowdry, it's definitely an overkill but was worth it for the service. Today, I picked up my toddler from daycare and rushed to his appointment booked for 5:40pm. I pulled in the parking lot at 5:45 and by the time I got my toddler out of the car and to the door, they closed. Lights off and doors locked before 5:50pm (mind you the sign says open until 6 PM) I called several times and someone finally answered and said their policy is a 5 minute grace period. 5 minutes for a child catered business?! 5 star restaurants offer a 15 minute grace period. A doctor's office, 15 minutes as well. The woman on the phone stood by the grace period and said there wasn't anything she could do now and she should've called me. She finally offered a free service but we definitely won't be coming back free or not. An immediate apology and free service offering without having to argue would have been nice. We have waited for our appointment time because they were running behind almost every appointment but all they can offer their customers is a 5 minute grace period on a Friday night to ensure they can wrap up shop to start their weekend. Horrible customer service for a "child friendly" business. Hope no one else ever has to deal with a fussy child with a carseat, they'll close the shop on you. Don't waste your time."

"After not having a great experience at another kid-focused salon some months ago, the wife and I brought our little one to Sharkey's to see if a change of scenery improved things. They did! He was a little hesitant at first, but Keniesha was patient, steady, and amazing. The kid came out looking 100% better. I'd highly recommend both her and this place!"

"This was our first time at Sharkey's. My son grew his hair for nearly 3 years to donate to charity. Elle did a wonderful job cutting his hair. It was easy to get an appointment online, however, the check in and out process with their computer system was not working."

"This place was the best. We were all very nervous to cut my grandsons hair. The cut took a long time because 3yr olds tend to be busy moving around but Sequoia was so patient and kind to him. The owners daughter is maybe 12yr old and she was so helpful with my 2 yr old granddaughter who was just along for the ride. I give this place two thumbs up it is a must for 1st time haircuts and little kids of any age."
