"I really enjoyed seeing the kids play here. The newer requirement was great for kids 4 and older. But the play area equipment for younger kids 2+ and older is rusty looking in complete contrast to the other. The only basic thing needed are fresh coats of paint to match. A major issue was that all the restrooms were locked. That's bad if you have little kids especially girls. You can have the boys find a tree and they're good, even though it's not what you prefer to do in public. This needs prioritizing as well. At least one trash receptacle in the play area, not just in the parking lot, would be nice. Make sure you bring bottled water, Kleenex for possible runny noses, and light snacks."
"Loved the 150 celebration of Hampton. The Rubpert Orchestra was fabulous, great food trucks, and the fireworks were stunning. I regret missing other celebrations but I won't anymore!"

"I was surprised by the new skate park at Hampton City Park. I expected it to be a lot smaller than it actually is, but when we got there and skated it a little bit, I realized its great. There are rails on one side of the skate park for those who like to do tricks, and there's also ramps on the both sides where people can go down really fast without any obstacles in their way. My son really liked this because you can get some speed up before you hit another ramp.The New Skate park is a ton of funk. My son really enjoyed it."
"Great splash pad for the kids and a nice playground. I wish the splash pad and playground were shaded more and I wish it had more picnic tables. Love the big air conditioned bathrooms though and the snack bar. Don't know if the snack bar is always open but it's been open every time I've been by there."
