Travelodge by Wyndham Gallipolis

"I vend my art at a lot of festivals and comic cons in the area, and this is usually my go to hotel to stay at. Recently, i booked a room in advance for an event I have coming up later this year. Keep in mind, I made and paid for this reservation months ago for a very important event coming up that I need a hotel for. They called me TWO DAYS AGO (after having this reservation for months) stating that they need to cancel my reservation because they overbooked. I've stayed here multiple times a year for years now, and this is how the hotel treats a loyal customer. Thankfully i booked through a 3rd party booking site (as i normally do) and am getting a refund that way. Needless to say, I will no longer be staying at this hotel as they clearly can't be trusted to keep your reservation safe or with your money. If you have an important event you need a hotel for, PLEASE don't book here as they might cancel on you too. There are multiple hotels in the area. Go with one of those instead."

"Just an overnight stay. The room seems to be redone but the bathroom was disgusting with grout and paint spots on the tub and floor. The bathroom smelled because of the mildew underneath the plastic tub floor mat that I would never want to step on. The ceiling in the room and bathroom had black and brown spots (mold?). The whole place has a creepy vibe and the only redeeming thing was that the bed was comfortable."

"My intended stay at the Travelodge was regrettably cut short due to the deplorable conditions I encountered. Upon arrival, I was met with a room that left much to be desired. The sink was full of grime and dust, and to my dismay, I spotted a roach in the vicinity. This was not the welcoming experience I had expected. Hoping for an improvement, I requested a room change. However, the second room proved to be equally unsatisfactory. Stained sheets, hair in the bed, and an overall lack of cleanliness were apparent. The bathroom also showed signs of neglect, with grime and filth present. I even noticed outdated wiring leading to a new light fixture, which raised safety concerns. Despite my best intentions to stay, I ultimately had to make the difficult decision to leave the establishment. It was clear that the conditions were unsuitable for a comfortable stay, and the overall experience did not meet even the most basic expectations. The only redeeming aspect of my visit was the commendable performance of the front desk staff. The lady working there was professional and empathetic, and it was evident that she cared about guest satisfaction. If she were in a managerial position, I believe this establishment could undergo a significant transformation for the better. In summary, my experience at this Travelodge was far from satisfactory, and I was unable to complete my stay due to the subpar conditions. The conditions I encountered resembled more of a barn than a reputable lodging establishment. I strongly urge Wyndham, the parent company, to consider removing their name from this location until these issues are resolved. Cleanliness and maintenance should always be a priority, regardless of the hotel's star rating. My experience serves as a stark reminder of the need for better management and higher standards at this particular Travelodge."

"Rooms were clean. The lady at the desk when we checked in was really friendly and helpful. The picnic area outside was really nice for grilling out and relaxing with a few drinks."

"I always stay here when I can when traveling through the area. It is the halfway point in my route from NC to IL. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. Also there are food options nearby. I also enjoy the hot breakfast and coffee in the morning. Also the price is excellent for my budget. I look forward to my next stay."
