"Absolutely loved this 3.7 miles hike in the snow. Despite some ice on the trail it was a very pleasant hike. I did it clockwise and there is rather long and steep uphill but then it is pretty much all downhill. Many suggest to hike counterclockwise but the first mile would be all up the hill, less steep than if you were going to do it clockwise but definitely longer; so depends on what you prefer. There were some very wet spots (running water) but with my boots it wasn't a problem. The trail is marked awfully and I relied on the All Trails app and on my dog's nose! The scenery was breathtaking especially when you get to the boulders with the mountain laurels. The only people I encountered were the conservation department guys cutting trees. Not a sound but the wind and my footsteps. NOTE: parking is limited, only 3 cars can fit and the off road is awful. I have a crossover with an off road option and I almost bottomed out a couple of times. I'd park on the street if you aren't sure."
