Family Tree Dental - Colegate

"My 2 kids and I are leaving the practice due to rude customer service and deception. The receptionist couldn't clearly tell me what my charges were for. She even stated the hygienist left horrible notes and that's all she had to work with and then seconds later said well you're going to be responsible to pay because it's basically your word against hers. When I told her I wanted to find a new dentist, she said fine but you'll be responsible to pay for your in house dental insurance for your committed time frame. She was looking at my chart- my in house plan was PAID IN FULL for both kids for almost 8-9 months. It's not my fault this office has horrible charting skills- tell me why I'm getting charges over 6 weeks later when I was told the day of service that everything was all set. Never received a bill THEN randomly get a TEXT saying to pay my outstanding balance or I'll be sent to collections. That's completely aggressive for someone that never received a bill to begin with. She said "well we work in a place we have to be aggressive to get our money". I completely understand... I've worked in the medical field for over 17 years but its a little uncalled for. Why was I not made aware of my charges the day I was there if there was no insurance that these charges had to be run through... 6 weeks later I get hit with a random bill. Make it make sense. Then she couldn't even make it make sense on the phone. She also says I will check the xrays to see which teeth were treated... HELLO GENIUS, the xrays were taken prior to the service. A service that was being repeated to no fault but their own. And I was told the sealant was being put on 1 tooth that had fallen out. The notes stated 2 totally different teeth on the opposite side than she received it on. She tried telling me that she probably had sealants I wasn't aware of that were placed at school. Um NO. Then instead of talking me through or finding someone that could understand the chart, the girl decided she would just get super rude and demand I pay whatever was sent to me without understanding what it was for. I'll take my business somewhere else..."

"I was nervous going in to have extractions because I had a bad experience as a kid. Dr. Rehl was so kind and I was so surprised at how quick and painless my extractions were that I did not believe him at first when he said I was finished! I had no discomfort during the procedure. The staff was wonderful with my 4 year old son when he went for his exam and cleaning as well. He was a bit scared and shy but they had him smiling and laughing in no time."

"Dr Atwood was great. He explained everything before he did it and made sure I was comfortable and knew what was next. His Assistant, Rachel was very nice and informative. They worked well together."

"I dropped in while traveling back home to West Virginia. I was in the worse pain ever! Instantly they took me back, and got things Rollin very quickly. The dentist started numbing me, and insisted that he was happy I came because he didn't want to see me in this kind of pain. He professionally took his time getting this tooth out! He did it so well, that my jaw isn't hurting like you know most dentist does sometimes. He did a incredible piece of work. I'd recommend this fella to anyone who is scared to get their teeth pulled. The staff was so friendly that I felt like home there! Thank you all for such an amazing experience!"
