"He was off of completion time by over 6 weeks , he lied about the final cost that was in contract and he never showed up to close or open pool as per contract! He continually lied about when he would be there to work and assured us that we were his priority and then would find out he was on like 4 jobs telling everyone the same thing and then turn it around on the customer. He was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional."

"Chuck at Tropical Pools was great to work with and I would highly recommend using them. Chuck and his team were always professional and were great communicators. They used the highest quality supplies and equipment, and the end result is a swimming pool that will last us for a lifetime. We have never owned a pool before, so we had no idea how to do anything for it. Chuck provided all of the chemicals and supplies that we needed, and spent countless hours showing us how to do stuff for the pool. Chuck would either walk us through it over the phone, or would personally come to our house to show us what we needed to do. Chuck was not obligated to provide any of that support to us, but he stands by his company and the work that they do, and they want everyone to be happy with their pools. Chuck was highly recommended to us by a close neighbor friend, and we would highly recommend him and Tropical Pools to anyone!"

"My family and I can't express how grateful we are for Chuck at Tropical Pools. We had been scammed by another pool installation company who left us high and dry after ordering our pool in 2020. Chuck was nice enough to come out and see the mess we were left with, which was a pool and a very large hole sitting in our backyard for almost a year. Chuck went above and beyond to finish the job including all the installation, plumbing, and materials needed which the previous company promised but never delivered. Chuck not only delivered all he promised but made sure we had top-of-the-line equipment and was patient with teaching us how to care for all of it properly. During the beginning of our installation process with Chuck, he had to have an unexpected surgical procedure. When Chuck should have been taking time to care for himself and recover, he was on the phone from the hospital assuring us the job would be done. Upon being released from the hospital, Chuck showed up at our house to ensure the job was being completed correctly. Although Chuck is a busy guy and sometimes materials are on back order due to Covid and lack of manufacturing....(things clearly out of his control), he has always answered our questions and responded to our phone calls in a timely fashion. Even when the job was completed he came back to check on us with opening and closing the pool and see if we needed anything. He has always been kind, patient, and extremely fair. Chuck could have easily asked us for more money than we agreed upon to finish the mess someone else had started in our yard. Chuck was more than financially fair with all the work he had to do to help finish the project. I have recommended Chuck and Tropical Pools to other families. He came highly recommended to us when we thought our situation was hopeless. If you want your pool job done right (Chuck treats every installation and project as if it were his own backyard) and for a fair price, give him a call!"

"Chuck, owner of Tropical Pools/Elyria is the best to work with!! He installed our fiberglass pool nearly 25 years ago and has serviced the pool every year since. He is extremely diligent, conscientious, and courteous! I just moved and will definitely have Chuck install pool at my new home. There will be a wait but the wait is worth it!!"

"Terrible experience! Do not use! It started in 2020 when we purchased a pool from Tropical pools and Chuck said we might get it installed at the end of the year of 2020. It didn't, but he assured us that it will get done first thing in 2021. That's where everything went bad. He told us "we are next", but he lied to us and was on a different job site every week.He told us in April of 2021 that he was going to start in two weeks, that didn't happen, then in May we where going on vacation and Chuck said that he will get it started and should be done when we get back, that didn't happen! He put us off every week. In May of 2021, we went on vacation and he said it should be done when we get back, that never happened. I just built a home and I haven't put a patio or grass in since we bought the home in late 2020, because he still hasn't finished the pool. It's June of 2022. The ladders aren't in and it took forever to open the pool this year, another promise that I would be the first one to be open, so we could get that started, but that didn't happen. So for over a year, I have put up with all the false promises and moved on with life, but today Chuck crossed the line and called me at 6am and accused me of talking with the guy done the street about a bad experience I had. I have never talked to this guy in my life. Chuck doesn't care about you the customer, he is never sorry, never!! it's all about him. Getting a pool should be exciting and fun, but this was far from that. I am pretty easy going, and he took advantage of that. Very unprofessional, from bad customer service, false promises, racial slurs, and bad communication!!! Don't get fooled like me!!!!"
