"Update: Deducted an additional star. Even though we were dealing with a title company across the country, they have a branch in the town I currently live in. It would have been easier to have signed the papers there and not to have to find a notary. A few days later we were told a signature was missed (it wasn't marked as needing to be signed) and we had to resign some papers, scan and email. It was a hassle that could have been avoided. I recently concluded my first experience with Heritage Union Title Co. and Overall it was a positive experience, but I'm only rating them a 4 out of 5 possible stars. Communication could have been better. The close date came and went without receiving a real update or ETA on the signing delay (county). When we finally spoke to Mitch, he was unaware that we currently lived in Colorado (he wanted us to swing by the office). Inter-office communication could have been better as our Howard Hanna realtor and mortgage representative had discussed our location with Dan. Mitch came through and had the paperwork over-nighted, and then called me once the filing was completed."
